Job Scope
A Pump Assembler with IDEX Pump Technologies (Ireland) Ltd. will utilize a range of fitting/assembly skills in daily production of IDEX Pump Technologies Positive Displacement Rotary Gear pumps, including testing and painting. The assembler will work as part of a small team, assembling components into finished goods while ensuring quality standards are met.
Primary Function
The assembler will work to strict safety and quality requirements, achieving daily production targets in terms of quality and quantity to meet customer expectations. This involves performing various operations within the process with some supervision.
Key Responsibilities
* Assemble full range of Viking Positive Displacement Rotary Gear pumps.
* Operate production/assembly equipment such as hoists, lifts, and air tools.
* Kit and assemble parts/components and sub-assemblies into finished mechanical products using hand tools and equipment.
* Complete Skid assemblies consisting of pumps and drive equipment.
* Cut and shape pump protective guards as required.
* Carry out product testing and quality checks according to company requirements.
* Finish products by applying protective coatings.
* Evaluate product tolerances and ensure they meet customer and internal standards.
* Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, bills of materials, and written instructions to assemble products and equipment.
* Repair returned pumps and complete repair assemblies to customer orders.
* Perform cleaning and basic maintenance tasks, and report equipment faults to management.
* Set and operate hand-controlled machines.
* Other duties as needed to support shipping/logistics and warehousing.
