Operations Manager - Cleaning Division
Vardis Group is seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to lead our cleaning services division. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of our project delivery, ensuring the efficient management of on-site operations and client satisfaction.
As the Operations Manager, you will oversee administration, leadership, and the daily coordination of cleaning teams, maintaining our high standards for safety and quality. Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Manage cleaning projects from start to finish, ensuring all administrative tasks are executed to the highest standards. Oversee project delivery within the agreed scope, budget, and timeframe, while maintaining profitability.
* Team Leadership & Supervision: Lead site supervisors and cleaning personnel to ensure teams operate efficiently and adhere to company standards. Act as the primary contact for on-site issue resolution. Work closely with the Cleaning Managing Director to ensure service level agreements are met on all contracts.
* Client Relationship Development: Strengthen and expand relationships with clients, particularly in the construction sector. You will leverage Vardis Group’s extensive network to secure future business opportunities.
* Health & Safety Compliance: Collaborate with the Health & Safety Department to enforce rigorous safety protocols across all sites.
* Contract Mobilization: Coordinate the setup and mobilization of new contracts, ensuring a smooth transition from contract initiation to site operations. This includes internal coordination, resource allocation, and meeting contractual obligations.
* Training: Engage in both on-site and office-based training to ensure ongoing professional development.
Person Specification:
We are looking for a proactive, experienced individual with the following qualifications:
* Industry Experience: Previous experience in the cleaning industry is essential, particularly in construction site cleaning. You should have a deep understanding of industry standards and operational workflows.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, is required for reporting, pricing, and project management.
* Communication: Fluency in English, with excellent communication skills to engage with clients, staff, and stakeholders at all levels.
* Personal Attributes: A highly motivated and organized individual with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. A structured approach and willingness to learn from colleagues are key to success.
* Driver’s License: A full, clean driver’s license is required, as this role involves travel to various sites.
