In Fidelity Ireland’s Workplace Investing (WI) quality engineering chapter, we're passionate about blending the best processes with the skills of our people to deliver for our business partners. We have an outstanding opportunity in our team for a Principal Software Quality Engineer to work in Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) in WI.
Expertise we are looking for:
* 10 years + experience in Quality Engineering.
* Extensive experience in Agile methodologies.
* Confidence to champion quality engineering.
* Expertise in Java and other programming languages is key.
* API testing experience is a must.
* Extensive experience in API test automation using established frameworks like Karate, Rest Assured.
* Proficiency with UI automation tools like Selenium or Playwright.
* Experience with Cucumber/Gherkin.
* Cross-browser testing experience and ensuring compatibility across different browsers and devices.
* Excellent communication skills that prioritize collaboration.
* Leverage extensive experience of Agile to provide ideas that improve sprint deliveries.
* Extensive experience with requirement analysis, defect tracking, coordinating with team members in different locations, and test reporting and signoff.
* Strong analytical and technical skills to address sophisticated issues.
* Ability to perform root cause analysis on defects.
* High level of dedication, initiative, vision, and passion.
* Strong technically and looking for a challenge.
* Extensive experience with Jenkins CI/CD, job creation, and maintenance.
* Ability to adapt to new environments and learn in-house developed tools and practices.
* Jira and Xray a plus.
* Proven experience in mentoring junior associates.
Purpose of your role:
* A leader in every aspect of quality within the product development lifecycle.
* An independent voice to ensure quality is engineered into the product from the ground up.
* Responsible for test automation strategy and planning. You will ensure strong and consistent practices are used across the squad’s quality engineers.
* To define the approach for end-to-end testing to ensure comprehensive quality coverage of the product delivery.
* An ability to develop a strong partnership with regional quality leads to ensure a core and common quality global strategy.
* As a squad member, you will produce fully automated tests for each story within each sprint.
* An ability to successfully solve complex technical issues and seamlessly collaborate with the Squad Lead, analysts, developers, business specialists, and vendors to ensure quality at every step.
* A mentor for junior associates, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
* Responsible for QE Tech Debt, Toolset, and test approach.
