About the role:
In this critical position, you will lead a specialized team focused on proactive threat research, analyzing emerging cyber threats and testing for potential vulnerabilities in our deployed medical devices.
Key responsibilities include maintaining an up-to-date threat intelligence framework to inform security strategies and response plans, as well as overseeing regular vulnerability scanning to support post-market vulnerability management processes.
Additional duties will involve coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure timely remediation of identified vulnerabilities and fostering collaboration with external researchers and stakeholders to enhance our security posture.
Main Responsibilities:
* Evolving continuous monitoring and analysis of threat intelligence sources to identify potential security risks proactively
* Maintaining detailed records of threat research activities, vulnerability assessments, and incident responses
* Overseeing the identification, assessment, and mitigation of vulnerabilities in products and infrastructure
* Performing risk assessments to evaluate the potential impact of vulnerabilities and prioritize remediation efforts
* Coordinating with Product Security Officers, development, engineering, and support teams to resolve identified vulnerabilities promptly
* Ensuring post-market vulnerability management practices comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., FDA, ISO/IEC 27001)
* Fostering strong relationships with internal R&D teams, external partners, and industry organizations to stay informed about the latest cybersecurity trends and developments
* Providing expert guidance and support to cross-functional teams on security best practices and vulnerability management
* Producing regular reports on post-market vulnerability management efforts and key performance metrics
* Continuously improving threat intelligence processes, tools, and technologies
* Establishing performance metrics, baseline team activity, and working to improve operations
* Cultivating strong team unity and ensuring alignment with organizational goals through effective communication, motivation, and leadership
About You:
* Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; a master's degree is highly valued
* 3+ years of management experience in cybersecurity, focusing on threat hunting and threat research
* Strong knowledge of cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack vectors
* Experience with threat intelligence platforms, threat hunting tools, and cybersecurity frameworks
* Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, .NET, Python, JavaScript, or C/C++
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
* Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are advantageous
