The ideal candidate will be experienced in all aspects of HGV vehicle servicing and repairs. The main responsibility of the Service Manager is to proactively develop and manage the workshop business and operations in order to maximise customer and employee satisfaction, as well as business performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Plan and attend daily meetings between parts and service.
2. Verify there is an efficient flow of authorised work in workshop.
3. Develop, implement and monitor standards and routines, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness within the workshop.
4. Monitor the ongoing condition of workshop tools and equipment, arranging purchase, repair and calibration.
5. Coordinate with parts department to ensure parts availability.
6. Assist workshop personnel with technical issues.
7. Increase service level solutions sales by developing, maintaining and communicating the services portfolio and solutions according to customer needs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
1. Ideally 2-3 Years Service Management experience with strong technical knowledge
2. Qualified Mechanic or Engineering qualification
3. HGV licence an advantage but not essential
