Job Title: Management Accountant Reports To: Senior Finance Manager Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our finance team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting business decision-making by preparing accurate financial reports, analysing key data, and ensuring effective financial planning and control.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Planning and Budgeting o Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
o Monitor and analyse variances between actual and budgeted figures, providing insights and recommendations to management.
2. Management Reporting o Produce timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports 3. Cost Analysis and Control o Analyse and report on cost centers, identifying areas for improvement and efficiency.
o Support cost control initiatives across departments.
4. Compliance and Controls o Ensure compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls as well as developing procedures when necessary o Work with auditors during internal and external audits, along with the Senior Finance Manager 5. Collaboration and Support o Act as a financial advisor to department heads, providing insights and guidance.
o Collaborate with the wider finance team on month-end and year-end processes.
Key Skills and Qualifications: Education: o Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
o Professional qualification (e.g., ACA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA) preferred or actively working towards certification.

Experience in the Nursing Home sector would be a distinct advantage Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
