We are looking for a skilled Architect/ Fire Engineer to provide fire strategy and compliance expertise for my clients in Charleville, County Cork. Working on projects across Ireland, you will be involved throughout all project stages, from feasibility studies and planning to permitting, design, and construction. This is a permanent position with a mixture of office and site visits required.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop comprehensive fire strategies for various projects using standards like TGD Part B & M, BS9999, BS 5588, FM, and NFPA.
2. Prepare and submit Fire Safety Certificates (FSC) and Disabled Access Certificates (DAC) via the BCMS.
3. Provide consultancy on building regulations, supporting design and contract teams with FSC and DAC matters.
4. Lead fire strategy discussions with clients, design teams, building control, and fire services.
5. Implement insurer requirements to minimize property damage and business interruption.
6. Supervise and train graduates on fire engineering principles and quality standards.
7. Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and vendor evaluations.
Qualifications:
1. Third level qualification as Qualified Architect/Architectural Technologist or Fire Engineer.
2. 5+ years in fire safety and disabled access certification.
3. Knowledge of Part B & M, BS9999, BCAR, BCMS; proficient in Microsoft Excel.
4. Strong communication skills; experience with REVIT/BIM is desirable.
