Data Manager - Dublin
I am currently working with my client, primarily a service organisation as they are seeking an experienced Data Manager to oversee our organisation's data operations, ensuring the accuracy, validation, and security of our data. The successful candidate will manage data collection, storage, analysis, and reporting processes to support informed decision-making and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and enforce data management policies and procedures.
2. Ensure data integrity and compliance with relevant data protection regulations.
3. Optimize data quality and efficiency through effective management of databases, data collection systems, and analytics.
4. Collaborate with the Head of IT to resolve technical issues related to databases and data collection.
5. Provide training and support to staff on best practices in data management.
6. Generate, interpret, and validate financial and non-financial data reports to aid in executive decision-making.
7. Work closely with various departments to understand and fulfill their data requirements.
Qualifications:
8. Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
9. Proven experience in data management or a similar role.
10. Strong understanding of database systems and data analysis methodologies.
11. Proficiency in data management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
12. Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
13. Superior communication and interpersonal abilities.
Key Skills:
14. Data Analysis & Interpretation: Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights.
15. Database Management: Skilled in managing database outputs, with knowledge of SQL and database management software.
16. Data Quality Management: Ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and reliability.
17. Data Security: In-depth understanding of data protection laws and best practices for safeguarding sensitive information.
18. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with data management tools and BI software, such as Power BI, Microsoft Excel, Access, and other data visualization tools.
19. Project Management: Competence in planning, executing, and monitoring data-related projects.
20. Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
21. Leadership & Training: Experience in leading teams and training staff on data management practices.
