Job Description
The Operations Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing site. Reporting to the Site Manager, this individual will be responsible for implementing operational strategy and achieving strategic operational goals.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support the Head of Manufacturing and Senior Leadership Team in developing the site's strategy, business plan, and budgets.
* Collaborate with the General Manager and leadership team to develop and deliver the site's business plan and budget.
* Ensure finished products are produced at the lowest possible cost while meeting safety, quality, and specification standards.
* Maintain a positive culture of employee engagement.
* Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and control production output against agreed standards.
* Monitor and control site costs, reporting deviations and proposed corrective actions as necessary.
* Work with the Engineering Manager and General Manager on capital expenditure projects.
* Lead and deliver departmental business improvement plans.
* Hold regular performance reviews and set objectives for all production staff.
Requirements:
* At least 3 years' experience working at a Production management level.
* A strong Food/Drinks manufacturing background with a clear understanding of the FMCG industry.
* Effective communication skills.
* Able to prioritize and make decisions promptly.
* Strong relationships skills and excellent listening skills.
