Job Title:
IT Support Technician
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Technician to join our team in the Supermac's IT Department. The successful candidate will provide ongoing technical support to our stores and locations within the Supermacs Group, troubleshoot technical issues, and engage in continuous project work as assigned by the Head of IT.
About the Role:
The IT Support Technician position involves travel and emergency response to breakdowns, including out-of-office hours and weekends. Key responsibilities include:
* Maintenance and support of company IT infrastructure
* Diagnose and troubleshoot technical problems relating to hardware and software applications
* Log and manage tickets and IT assets using ITIL aligned Service Desk
* Ensure that all tickets are actioned in a timely manner
* Familiarity with SQL/MS SQL server and databases and associated reporting tools to ensure the business has up-to-date information
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* 3 years minimum experience in a similar role
* Relevant third-level IT qualification
* Full Driver's license
* One or more of the following certifications: CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+, MCSA
Key Skills:
- Excellent working knowledge of networking, including switches, routers, access points, and firewalls
- Ability to quickly learn new company-specific software to support users
- Must be able to work well and communicate effectively with users of a broad range of computer competency levels
