Senior Occupational Therapist Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our HSE Midlands team in Offaly. The successful candidate will provide essential OT services to elderly clients in a community and residential care setting.
The role offers the opportunity to support older adults in maximizing their independence and quality of life through individualised, evidence-based interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop tailored intervention plans for elderly clients.
* Support individuals in maintaining mobility, function, and independence in their daily activities.
* Provide equipment recommendations, seating, and environmental adaptations to promote safety and accessibility.
* Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, nurses, and social workers.
* Offer carer and family education, ensuring continuity of care in home and residential settings.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to ongoing service development initiatives.
Requirements:
* Recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and CORU registration.
* Minimum of three years post-qualification experience, ideally working with older adults.
* Strong knowledge of frailty, dementia care, falls prevention, and rehabilitation.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
* Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
