The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in the successful delivery of public sector projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for public sector projects.
* Conduct cost analysis, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
* Manage and monitor project costs throughout the project lifecycle.
* Prepare and review tender documents and contracts.
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
* Provide advice on procurement strategy and contractual matters.
* Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
* Prepare and submit regular reports on project progress and financial status.
Key Requirements:
* A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
* Professional membership with RICS or working towards it.
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the public sector.
* Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes and regulations.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in relevant software, such as MS Excel and industry-standard estimation tools.
