Job Description:
Our Client, the Land Development Agency (LDA), is a semi-State body dedicated to maximizing the supply of affordable homes on public and other land in a sustainable manner, supporting thriving communities and delivering social impact. It is overseen by an independent board and funded with €5 billion of equity capital from the Government, with borrowing capacity up to €1.25bn.
The LDA has initiated construction on several projects on State land, with a pipeline exceeding 17,000 homes. It collaborates with major homebuilders and will deliver an additional 8,000 homes under the Government’s Project Tosaigh. The agency is also involved in strategic master-planning and planning applications in locations such as Limerick Colbert Quarter, the Digital Hub in Dublin, and Sandy Road in Galway.
The Role
This position offers an exciting opportunity for a Business Analyst to support major Affordable Housing projects. The analyst will focus on data gathering, analysis, and interpretation to inform strategic decisions and enhance operational efficiency within the Development team.
The ideal candidate will be proficient in analytical tools, construction project management software, and industry best practices. Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude are essential, as the role involves presenting analysis at development meetings.
The successful candidate will join a newly established Project Management Office (PMO) within the Development team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Development & Construction teams and other departments to understand and improve business processes using technology.
* Ensure quality and accuracy of management reports and visualizations, documenting methodologies and data sources.
* Analyze business and industry data, including KPIs and project timelines, using data analytics tools. Identify trends and recommend improvements.
* Facilitate workshops to gather requirements and feedback.
* Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders and maintain comprehensive documentation.
* Manage the implementation of new systems and workflows.
* Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet objectives.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, IT, or related field, or relevant experience in Business Analysis and Project Management.
* Certifications in Business Analysis and Programme Management are advantageous.
Experience:
* At least 3 years of relevant experience.
* Experience in construction, infrastructure, or utilities sectors is preferred but not mandatory.
* Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and resourcefulness.
* Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and analytics software.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Ability to handle multiple projects efficiently and maintain confidentiality.
