As part of this process, you will work with different team members who will introduce you to the internal project management tools. You will then progress to the on-the-job phase where you will participate in the on-site commissioning activities. During this phase, you will support the Lead Commissioning Engineers (CxE) with managing a project from beginning to end.
You will:
1. Manage the creation of projects within internal Amazon systems.
2. Manage the administrative tasks related to the commissioning process.
3. Support the Request for Quote process, ensuring all relevant documentation is available for the commissioning vendors to provide a detailed quote.
4. Manage the required vendor project deliverables ensuring on-time delivery for the CxE's review.

6. Create and manage the approval of the Change Management requests for the commissioning activities of the assigned project.
Career Progression
You will learn the commissioning process by shadowing the project lead commissioning engineers. This on-the-job training will focus on both Electrical and Mechanical systems. You will spend time with each discipline during which you will learn all aspects of the critical systems. You will learn how to develop and execute testing scripts for validating the systems.
To get further hands-on experience, you will work onsite with the commissioning vendors. While onsite, you will carry out inspections and track any defaults in the systems under inspection. Throughout the process, you will undergo an internal Cx qualification review process during which the lead Cx engineers will assess your progress. Once the leads Cx engineers are satisfied you have the required knowledge, they will reverse shadow you on a project as a final validation before you are allowed to lead a project.
