We’re currently looking for a Group Accounts Receivable Lead to join our busy Finance Department.
The Role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller this role will play an essential role in our busy Finance Department, focusing on leading the accounts receivable function. The position involves maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the month-end process, and contributing to the smooth running of the Finance Team.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Accounts Receivable:
Issue accurate and timely customer invoices, ensuring correct details and classifications.
Monitor accounts for overdue balances and manage collections through phone and email follow-ups.
Respond promptly to customer queries and resolve billing discrepancies in collaboration with internal teams.
Ensure the daily integration of transactions between the ticketing system and the accounting software.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of customer payments and account statuses for audit purposes.
Regularly generate Accounts Receivable aging reports and provide actionable updates to the Group Financial Controller.
Collaborate with the Group Financial Controller to identify and resolve any outstanding issues impacting the month-end close.
Bank Reconciliations:
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations of all cash, card, and online sales.
Organise and arrange weekly bank lodgements to ensure cash proceeds from sales are correctly lodged into the bank.
Review and reconcile weekly lodgements to ensure completeness and accuracy.
General Support and Administration:
Maintain books and records in compliance with IFRS Accounting standards and company requirements to ensure a smooth audit if required.
Support the Finance Team with ad-hoc research, reporting, and administrative tasks as required.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the AR and reconciliation functions.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications & Experience
A degree or qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
2+ years of experience in accounts receivable and/or reconciliation roles.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., AccountsIQ or similar) and Excel
Knowledge of accounting principles (with a focus on accounts receivable) and experience working in a fast-paced finance team
Familiarity with ERP systems and integration of accounting with other platforms.
Personal Attributes
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with large volumes of data.
Analytical skills to interpret financial data and identify trends or discrepancies
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a busy finance environment.
Preference for teamwork and collaboration
Location
The role is Dublin based, we do offer a hybrid working environment, following the completion of the probationary period.
