Intermediate Level Quantity Surveyor Office Based in Mullingar
The role of an Intermediate Level Quantity Surveyor involves assisting experienced Quantity Surveyors and the Managing Surveyor in the day-to-day operations of the Surveying Department.
Duties:
* Assisting with various quantity surveying tasks, including management of subcontractors, materials, quality, resources, and general administration.
* Procurement of subcontractors, including compiling tenders, responding to queries, assessing bids, and issuing contract documents.
* Managing subcontractors' accounts throughout contracts, from appointment to final settlement, including payment recommendations and contract administration.
* Preparing bills of quantities, including take-off and rates/budgets compilation.
* Assisting with contract tendering, from compiling subcontract packages to pricing works and submitting interim valuations.
* Occasional site visits for information gathering and record-keeping.
* Preparing budgets, cash flows, cost reports, and project programming, as well as updating these records.
* Liaising with the Finance Department for costs information and monthly cost reporting.
* Providing administrative support for Materials Purchasing.
Requirements:
* At least 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, with relevant academic or professional qualifications.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and people management skills.
