The position is in the laboratories of Professor Imre Lengyel at the Wellcome-Wolfson Institute for Experimental Medicine in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The project aims to identify the molecular background of calcification in the eye and brain, leading to sight and cognitive loss in retinal and brain degeneration. The project is funded by an NIH program grant.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage laboratory tasks and ensure the project's success.
* Work with postdocs, Ph D, MSc, and undergraduate students.
About the Person:
Essential Criteria
* Academic and/or vocational qualifications in a relevant subject.
* 2 years work experience in a relevant role including:
o Handling and maintaining experimental animal models, particularly mice.
o Handling and maintaining cells in culture.
