We are now seeking a talented individual to join our team as an Independent Business Team Lead. This role plays a key part in our overall growth and helps maintain our core ethos: keeping the customer at the heart of everything we do.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the team, providing day-to-day support to the Independent Business Sales Leadership Team and Commercial Finance Manager. Provide consistent and high-quality commercial support to ensure customer service delivery and confidence.
• Proactively communicate and collaborate with internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements, delivering as needed.
• Be fully conversant with all systems, processes, and routines that underpin pricing and margin management within the customer segment.
• Maintain best practice standards across the function and serve as a catalyst for creating a positive working environment for colleagues within the team.
• Act as a role model for colleagues, demonstrating excellence in output standards and commitment at all times.
• Continually review current insights and prepare new insights on commercial trends within Independent Business. Evaluate, monitor, and drive business performance.
• Support the governance, control, and automation of all processes related to pricing. Create safeguards for future revenues through the development, improvement, and execution of pricing control activities.
• Conduct bottom-up assessments and appraisals of all processes and routines executed by the team, identifying those that can be automated or streamlined. Develop and execute project plans to implement automation.
• Serve as a link between the team and Business Technology, where requirements flow. Collaborate with stakeholders to build and establish working relationships that develop self and others, delivering results.
• Assist in developing and delivering operational training and coaching pertaining to daily routines of the function, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Lead and monitor team meetings, ensuring issues are identified and actions are closed off in a timely fashion.
• Complete HR time management sign-off weekly, ensuring timely sign-off for payroll and updating holiday trackers at all times.
Requirements:
• Experience working in a fast-moving environment, meeting tight deadlines.
• High competency in MS Excel and database systems. Experience with Microsoft ERPs is a distinct advantage.
• Experience in process automation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. A naturally enquiring approach with strong commercial acumen and discipline in collecting information, ascertaining root causes, and identifying practical solutions.
• Attentive to detail, proven experience in leading and facilitating continuous improvement, and strong presentation skills.
• Ability to build and develop collaborative relationships, excellent communication skills, and a self-starter with high motivation.
• Proven ability to manage and organize own workload and the workload of others. Resilient attitude and desire to see things through to completion, flexible, and adaptable with a positive attitude to change.
