Working at Freudenberg: We will wow your world!Responsibilities:Support the GROWTTH Manager’s and GROWTTH Engineer’s continuous improvement efforts to improve processes, line flow, line balance, equipment, etc.Guide teams and individuals on applications of lean tools to FMBP business needs. Coach other staff in Lean systems methodologies, teach them to see waste and facilitate structured problem solving (Problem statement, Ishikawa, 5 whys etc.)Participate and execute Kaizen events throughout the company.Collaborate with manufacturing areas to ensure that GROWTTH is used in a manner that supports and enhances other company programs and systems, such as the Quality System, Theory of Constraints, safety programs, etc.Ensure that all changes are implemented in compliance with the QMS, (ISO13485 / FDA) and the OH&S, Environmental and Energy Management Systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 50001) and other regulatory requirements relevant to the Company.Attend daily meetings on the line with Cell Teams to review the previous day’s production, any nonconformance’s or concerns and action items.Routinely review the attainment charts and troubleshoot items related to productivity, downtime, equipment, and scrap.Work with the cell team to develop action plans to reduce and/or eliminate the scrap.Communicate effectively with manufacturing and management regarding lean initiatives and results.Facilitate continuous improvement through the use of 5s.Execute monthly 5S audits on all assigned cells in a timely manner.Complete accurate time observation sheets as required.Conduct line balancing exercisesHighlight opportunities for improvement within the clean rooms using the TIMWOOD categories.Ensure that health and safety requirements are considered before implementing change so that potential hazards or risks are identified and mitigated.Adhere to Plant Safety requirements and Health & Safety requirements relating to your work, assuming responsibility for those aspects of the OH&S System over which you have control to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others.Be aware of the potential environmental impacts associated with your work and the implications of non-conformance.Contribute to enhanced energy performance by conservation of energy where possible (Lighting, Equipment, Air Conditioning etc.).Contribute to the continual improvement activities of the OH&S, Environmental and Energy Management systems through participation, providing feedback/ suggestions for improvement and by reporting accidents, dangerous occurrence, near miss/ illness, good catch, and environmental incidents in a timely manner.Qualifications:High school educationPreferably experience executing/implementing lean systems.Experience in medical quality systems, product development, and manufacturing disciplines and understanding of required standards/regulations impacting medical devices preferred.Experience with MS Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing toolbox.Experience in medical quality systems, product development, and manufacturing disciplines and understanding of required standards/regulations impacting medical devices preferred.Qualifications in Lean Systems, preferably Green Belt. If not, Lean Systems Green Belt must be achieved within 9 months of start.Preferably experience of continuous improvement methodology (Visual Management, Kaizen, 3P, 5S, SMED, MDI etc.)Preferably experience in a role involving training, leadership and facilitation of teams.Qualifications in Lean Systems, preferably Green Belt. If not, Lean Systems Green Belt must be achieved within 9 months of start.Preferably experience of continuous improvement methodology (Visual Management, Kaizen, 3P, 5S, SMED, MDI etc.).Communicate effectively with manufacturing and management regarding lean initiatives and results.Facilitate continuous improvement through the use of 5s.Complete accurate time observation sheets as required.Able to convince others to pursue a course of action.Speaks and writes clearly and articulately without being overly verbose or talkative.
