JFC Group are currently recruiting a Welder/Fabricator for their expanding Engineering Workshop Team in Tuam, Co. Galway.
Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesManufacture of stock components, jigs, and fixturesProgramming of robotic welding, CNC tube benders, and automatic saw linePlan and schedule cutting, pressing, drilling, and venting of all parts in line with demandQuality and stock controlWorking from engineering drawingsCalculating measurements and cutting plans for raw materialsSetup job according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, callipers, rule, etc.Use of workshop equipment including bandsaw, radial drill, tube benders, press brake, guillotineWorking on own initiative regarding process/methods of fabricationCreate records and sketches of bespoke items where neededKeeping records of welding certificates, plant safety records, etc.
for ISO certificationEnsure good adherence to 5S by being accountable for general cleanliness of the Engineering Workshop and your own area spaceWelding using MIG and TIGConstruction of new moulds including welding and polishingMaintenance of existing moulds including welding and polishingDesired Skills and ExperienceLeaving Certificate qualification is a minimum requirementFabrication/Welding/Technical certificate or relevant equivalent is desirableMinimum of 3+ years' experience in a similar roleKnowledge and experience of robotic welding is a distinct advantageHigh level of professionalism and good communication skillsStrong adherence to quality standardsAbility to work in a pro-active and efficient mannerStrong attention to detail and good organizational, prioritization, and planning abilityHighly collaborative, organized, detail-oriented with a strong ability to multi-taskStrong technical abilityTime management and task prioritization skillsAbility to work well as part of a teamStrong sense of achievement/delivery
