Senior Project Manager
Key Responsibilities:
* Advising at a strategic level on project conception, including providing advice on approaches to achieve client objectives.
* Establishing overall success criteria for projects, including time, cost, technical, and performance parameters.
* Managing quality, safety, health, and environment issues, and establishing effective project governance processes.
* Project planning, including ensuring the production of detailed project plans.
* Advising on resource procurement and leading cross-functional project teams.
* Monitoring and applying performance management techniques using KPIs to improve project performance.
* Managing change control processes and monitoring project finances.
* Ensuring the flow of project information between teams and clients through regular meetings and written communications.
* Producing formal project progress reports.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Maintaining personal learning and development plans, attending training courses, and coaching/mentoring junior staff.
* Developing new business opportunities with existing and new clients, identifying cross-selling opportunities, and constructing bids for new work.
* Attending client pitches and events, and ensuring that project case studies and CV files are up-to-date.
* Identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve project management products and services.
* Understanding Turner & Townsend's 2+2=5 philosophy and identifying cross-divisional opportunities.
Internal Management Accountabilities:
* Staff management, knowledge management, financial management, and process improvement.
* Ensuring prompt client invoicing, utilizing FMS to monitor project finances, and identifying ways to improve internal systems and processes.
Health and Safety:
* Observing safety regulations, conforming to local and national laws, and adhering to Turner & Townsend's safety and security regulations commitment.
Requirements:
* Degree in engineering, construction management, or an equivalent technical qualification.
* Buildings/Real Estate sector experience and minimum 7 years of Project Management experience.
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Recognized Project Management Qualification and membership or chartership of a recognized professional industry body (desirable).
