Essentials: Minimum 7 years in a senior safety management role with the construction industry; degree or diploma in Health and Safety Management, Engineering, or a related field; strong knowledge of ISO 45001; experience with behavioural safety programmes and multi-site operations; excellent communication and leadership skills.
Location: Central Dublin - office based role
Salary: €80,000 - €90,000

Overseeing: EHS Director
Our client, a prominent residential developer, is seeking a Senior Health and Safety Manager to support their EHS Director and team in enhancing safety processes, procedures, and strategy across their 22 active sites. This role focuses on continuous improvement of the safety management system, cultivating a positive safety culture, and driving consistency in safety practices across employees and supply chain partners.
Key Responsibilities:
* Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement health and safety strategies that align with organisational goals, focusing on continuous improvement and innovation.
* Safety Culture: Promote a culture of best practices and behavioural safety across sites and the supply chain.
* Programme Delivery: Lead specific safety programmes, initiatives, and projects to improve safety performance and compliance.
* Team Development: Support and mentor the EHS team, fostering professional growth and aligning their goals with functional objectives.
* Supply Chain Engagement: Collaborate with supply chain partners to enhance safety performance and drive consistency across multiple sites.
* Audit and Governance: Oversee the annual audit programme, ensuring robust safety systems and adherence to ISO 45001 standards.
* Data and Reporting: Leverage EHS systems to monitor safety metrics and provide detailed reports to the Leadership Team and Board.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Engage with external bodies, represent the organisation on industry committees, and maintain a strong network to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
* Legislation Monitoring: Stay informed on emerging legislation and provide guidance on potential risks and solutions.
