Overall Purpose of the role Reporting to the Strategic Development Director, you will take responsibility for leading and developing the sales and marketing team in Ireland and the rest of world ensuring that the Company sales, brand and revenue targets are achieved and exceeded.
The Role Responsible for driving growth by identifying and targeting potential new business opportunities and securing contracts through existing and new customers.
Work closely with our customers to understand their needs, present tailored solutions, and build relationships that contribute to our customers success.
Manage the sales by setting sales goals, creating sales plans, forecasting, analysing data and sales results.
Manage, co-ordinate and prepare sales proposals and tender responses, ensuring pricing is built on an accurate cost structure.
Liaise with the engineering, finance and production departments to ensure accurate and timely submission of bids and smooth transition of projects up to contract award stage.
Develop and deliver the sales and marketing strategy for the business.
Lead and build a high performing team through coaching and mentoring.
Lead and implement brand and marketing strategies based upon market analysis and Company objectives that will develop the company brand further.
Create demand through planning and attending trade shows and local promotional events.
Monitor and report on market data and competitor activity as well as the analysis and evaluation of promotional effectiveness.
Engage and build relationships effectively with key business stakeholders and customers.
The Successful Candidate With broad experience gained from a sales and or marketing role, you will be able to demonstrate a progressive sales career coupled with experience of developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies.
A strong background and experience in Engineering and Contracting industries in Ireland and internationally is required and experience in food / beverage / pharma / data centres will be a distinct advantage.
Possess an existing and well-established network of relevant industry contacts in Ireland and internationally and an ability to gain access to major engineering projects and secure an opportunity to submit a bid for relevant scope.
Proven people management skills will be required complemented by sound commercial judgement.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to collaborate effectively with colleagues and customers.
With a clear passion for sales and marketing, the successful candidate will be a pro-active self-starter as well as the innovation and creativity to bring added value to this dynamic team environment.
