Job Description for Stores Assistant (Full-Time Position based in Stamullen Co. Meath)
Hanley Energy is a fast-growing business and your duties will include working closely with the Stores Manager to oversee and maintain smooth management of stock and logistics for the growing company. In this role as a Stores Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Stores Manager with the amount of stock kept within the warehouse, ensuring the correct quantities of materials/components and information are delivered to them on time at the correct location to achieve on-time deliveries. Efficient stock management is crucial for business success, and as such, the Stores Assistant must effectively work with the Stores Manager in this position.
Responsibilities:
As Stores Assistant you will work closely with the Stores Manager on the following tasks:
1. Receive incoming deliveries, check for damage and discrepancies between delivery documents and actual receipts. Store products in designated locations and book product into stock.
2. Process any goods returned and return to appropriate locations.
3. Process non-conforming material as per documented procedures.
4. Contribute to the optimisation of warehouse space.
5. Monitor, maintain, and set stock levels; inform procurement of replenishment needs.
6. Ensure all stock within the factory and vehicles is monitored/recorded.
7. Ensure documentation is correct on incoming and outgoing products.
8. Pull stock for all Bill of Materials associated with Production Orders in a timely manner to ensure the smooth running of the production department.
9. Liaise with other departments including purchasing and sales to identify and resolve any stock issues that may impact the efficient operation of the business.
10. Arrange logistics for dispatch of products on time, ensuring they are being tracked.
11. Carry out monthly stocktake reports to administration for SAP update and analysis/reconcile any variances.
12. Organise and prepare logistics of stock for dispatch to site/customer.
Requirements:
1. Previous experience working in a Stores environment.
2. Strong networking, influencing, and communication skills.
3. Reliable with a strong work ethic.
4. Background in Stores, Stock, or Production.
5. Ability to understand technical and engineering parts.
