ATG are looking for an experienced CAD Manager to lead and oversee the CAD team, ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality technical drawings, models, and design documentation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing CAD standards, managing workflows, and integrating new technologies to enhance design processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the CAD team, providing mentorship, training, and technical support.
* Develop, implement, and maintain CAD standards, best practices, and quality control procedures.
* Oversee the production and coordination of 2D and 3D CAD models/drawings for a variety of projects.
* Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to ensure accurate and efficient design workflows.
* Manage software licenses, updates, and integration of new technologies (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, SolidWorks, etc.).
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
* Troubleshoot CAD-related technical issues and optimize performance across the team.
* Maintain and develop CAD libraries, templates, and automation tools to improve efficiency.
* Liaise with external stakeholders, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless design coordination.
* Support BIM (Building Information Modelling) integration where required.
Key Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Architecture, Design Technology, or a related field.
* Minimum 5+ years of experience in a CAD management or senior CAD technician role.
* Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, SolidWorks, or other industry-specific CAD software.
* Strong knowledge of technical drawing standards, BIM processes, and digital workflows.
* Experience in leading and developing CAD teams, including training and mentoring.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Knowledge of ISO 19650, BS 1192, or other CAD/BIM standards is desirable.
