We have a fantastic new vacancy for Fitness Instructor in the excellent Maldron Hotel Tallaght
Objective of the Role
Reporting to the Leisure Centre Manager, the Fitness Instructor will be responsible for overseeing the member and guest experiences of our fitness and leisure offering.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Conduct fitness assessments and develop training programmes for members and guests.
2. Act as a lifeguard.
3. Sell/upsell memberships.
4. Ensure that the fitness and leisure facilities are safe at all times.
5. Provide help and guidance to members and guests.
Requirements:
1. Pool/lifeguard certification would also be an advantage.
2. Gardai vetted would be an advantage.
3. Good communication skills and fluency in English.
4. Friendly and outgoing.
5. Ability to work as part of a team and a desire to progress in your career.
6. Pool Plant qualification would be an advantage.
7. Ability to deal with customer complaints, referring them to senior management if necessary.
8. Flexibility and adaptability to areas which need assistance.
9. Responsibility for overseeing and ensuring the general safety of members and residents to prevent injury, misuse, and damage to the facility.
10. Reporting to the manager any mishaps which require medical attention or serious breaches of pool discipline that might result in complaints.
11. Responsibility for your own health & safety and that of those around you.
12. Opening and closing of the facilities.
13. Taking bookings, cash handling, and keeping the reception area neat and tidy.
14. Ensuring the cleanliness of the facility, including general areas, changing rooms, showers, steam room, sauna, pool surrounds, gym, and aerobics studio.
15. Complying with all written procedures.
16. Familiarity with the Standard Operating Procedures of the Leisure Centre.
