Job Purpose:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Vendor Relationship Manager to join our Commercial Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing strategic vendor relationships with an annual spend of €1 billion across multiple categories. Your key objectives will be to ensure cost efficiency, service quality, and risk mitigation through effective supplier strategies, negotiations, and performance improvements.
As the Lead Vendor Relationship Manager, you will work closely with our procurement experts to provide procurement expertise to stakeholders within the EirGrid Group. You will develop and implement supplier strategies, negotiate high-value contracts, and drive continuous performance improvements with vendors. Additionally, you will manage the development, execution, and ongoing management of effective strategies relating to quality, cost, innovation, sustainability, and governance.
Responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee strategic vendor relationships with an annual spend of €1 billion across multiple categories.
* Develop and implement supplier strategies to ensure cost efficiency, service quality, and risk mitigation.
* Negotiate high-value contracts and drive continuous performance improvements with vendors.
* Manage the development, execution, and ongoing management of effective strategies relating to quality, cost, innovation, sustainability, and governance.
Requirements:
* Relevant finance, procurement, or supply chain degree or equivalent, typically with 4+ years relevant experience within the fields of category management, procurement, or supply chain management.
* Ability to effectively communicate, influence, and collaborate with key stakeholders.
* Experience of spend profiling, supply markets, cost drivers, analysis, reporting, and presentation preferably within a regulatory environment.
* Knowledge of utilities and/or experience of public sector tendering is highly desirable.
* Working knowledge of purchasing tools, platforms, and processes.
