Job Description
Our client, a State Organisation with a large portfolio of complex properties, requires an Assistant Project Manager to oversee its Capital Major and Minor works and Maintenance programmes.
Critical Objectives:
* Optimising the existing Estate value and delivering best value for money.
Duties:
1. Manage and monitor both the construction programme and cost plan to minimise the impact of variations on the project.
2. Keep stakeholders informed of progress, cost, and relevant issues.
3. Oversee tender and contractor/consultant appointment processes.
4. Chair and minute project review meetings.
5. Evaluate contractor and consultant valuations and final accounts.
6. Monitor build and material quality.
7. Ensure contractual compliance among contractors and consultants.
8. Assist in front-end design planning and procurement of other projects.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in construction project management.
* Knowledge of current construction contracts and procurement methodologies.
* A proven track record of completing projects successfully.
* Level 8 degree in Engineering or Construction.
* A current driving license and vehicle.
