Within this role you will be responsible for the site electrical operational maintenance and instrumentation calibration program. This includes management of electrical systems and calibration program ensuring efficient operation and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. A typical day might include, but is not limited to, the following: Team Management: Leading a team of employees and outside contractors/vendors who are responsible for maintaining site electrical infrastructure and site instrumentation equipment in a qualified state to support the production operations Monitoring E&I team performance, identify skills gaps, drive professional development to build technical capability, support and high-performance competences within the team to develop and sustain high-performance Team Output and Objectives Leading and developing the E&I team by providing technical training, mentorship, and continuous improvement opportunities Safety Management: Promoting a culture of safety and safe working environments by implementing and promoting safe work practices, training of staff and conducting regular safety audits Participating in HAZOP and risk assessment reviews to identify and mitigate operational risks Ensuring compliance with local regulations, international standards, and company policies (such as HSA, EPA, NSAI/ NIST, ISO/IEC/EN, IEEE) Maintenance & Program Management: Overseeing the maintenance and performance of site electrical infrastructure and equipment to ensure safety, performance and effectiveness Being responsible for the site calibration program for instrumentation equipment to ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards and company policies Leading the team in the transition from preventive to predictive maintenance strategies by identifying and implementing new technologies and monitoring for E&I systems Ensuring maximum uptime of equipment by troubleshooting and resolving technical issues in a timely manner Developing and implementing strategies to enhance the safety, reliability and performance of electrical and instrumentation systems Compliance & Quality Management: Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements as related to equipment maintenance and calibration functions Working closely with Operations, Systems Support, and Quality functions to ensure Regulatory Compliance (FDA, HPRA, EPA, NIST) and ensuring prompt customer service Applying technical knowledge to assist in determining root cause of equipment failures and identification of effective corrective actions to resolve recurring E&I issues Assisting in development, implementation and updates to SOPs, policies, plans, and programs Representing the GMP Calibration Program in all audit and regulatory inspections Vendor & Budget Management: Evaluating and managing contracts with vendors and service providers, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective solutions are provided Optimizing E&I budgets and resources by implementing cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety Monitor and maintain spare parts inventory to ensure parts availability while managing costs Technical Support: Conducting long-term planning for equipment upgrades, plant expansions, and new technology implementation Maintaining and updating documentation, including electrical schematics, loop diagrams, and control narratives Overseeing the design, installation, and commissioning of new E&I projects, from planning to completion Evaluating and approving technical specifications, drawings, and vendor proposals Coordinating with internal teams and external contractors to ensure project objectives and timelines are met Collaborating with senior management to align E&I objectives with overall business goals This role might be for you if: You bring strong knowledge of electrical systems, instrumentation, and control systems You have previous experience in managing teams or projects demonstrating leadership and interpersonal skills You demonstrate excellent analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills To be considered for this role you should have a BS/BEng or higher in Electrical/Instrument Engineering with 8 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. #JOBSIEPR #REGNIRLTO Does this sound like you?
