Operations Manager
Ballyvaloo Retreat Centre, located near Blackwater in County Wexford, is seeking a full-time Operations Manager.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will support the Centre Director in implementing strategic development and overseeing operational elements of the Centre's services. This role ensures effective resource optimisation, adherence to agreed budgets and targets, and upholding the Centre's values and professional standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operations Management: Monitor and manage Centre operations, prepare annual budgets, oversee reservations and booking systems, and ensure high standards of housekeeping.
* Financial Oversight: Control expenditure within approved budgets, provide monthly reports on revenue and cash flow, and implement secure systems for handling and recording monies received.
* Human Resources: Assist in staff recruitment, conduct interviews, oversee orientation, and maintain accurate employment records.
* Communications: Conduct regular planning and review meetings with the Centre Director, schedule and lead staff meetings, and ensure timely and effective communication with staff, guests, and stakeholders.
* Policy, Legislation & Regulation: Ensure compliance with all SSJG policies, develop and update policies as needed, and meet requirements set by the National Employment Regulatory Authority (NERA).
* Sales & Marketing: Collaborate with the Director to create marketing materials and leverage social media and modern technologies to promote the Centre.
* Guest Satisfaction: Monitor guest satisfaction through observation, feedback systems, and direct communication, and develop and implement a complaints policy and procedure.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a qualification in the hospitality sector, relevant experience in managing a welcoming environment offering high quality accommodation and catering, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong empathy with the vision and work of the Congregation, and the flexibility and adaptability to work in a team based environment.
