Join us as a Commercial Reporting Analyst
As a Commercial Reporting Analyst you will join the Performance & Planning team within the Sales function where we are accountable to the Director of Sales. As a team, our primary focus is on supporting our sales teams to plan, execute and deliver Sales performance. We can be found leading commercial trading reviews, sales budgeting and planning, forecasting performance, building, delivering and maintaining performance reporting and also supporting channel commission.
The Commercial Reporting Analyst role is ideal for someone with strong numerical and technical skills, and a passion for data analysis and reporting, looking to grow and enhance their skillset. In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of reporting to channels. You will be tasked with producing high-quality reporting solutions for commercial together with maintaining our existing suite of reports. You will be a key influence in our direct commission process and will serve as the primary point of contact for retail commission data queries.
You will be part of a pivotal team with responsibility for ensuring the Commercial team and sales management teams have relevant analytical insight leading to effectively manage our channels and achieve our commercial goals. What else it involves
* You will own day to day publication of Key reports to Channels.
* You will ensure the timely delivery of performance reports to stakeholders.
* You will manage and maintain Channel incentives, designing exciting and engaging concepts and bring them to life.
* You will be responsible for commission reviews in our Retail Channel, gathering insights on changes and recommending changes where needed.
* You will handle bespoke queries and tickets from our colleagues, ensuring they are addressed in a timely manner.
* You will manage and maintain an existing suite of reports ensuring they continue to be relevant, looking for opportunities for continuous improvement and refinement.
* You will be tasked with evolving our reporting outputs, ensuring we are improving the product we offer to our stakeholders. We aim to transition towards Power BI and PowerApps solutions and are big believers in automation of reporting.
* You will conduct ad hoc investigations and analysis of Hot topics and problem statements, providing recommendations that help our teams deliver data-driven decisions.
* You will have opportunity to support projects within the business, often completing BUAT on behalf of our team, ensuring new products are fit for our needs.
* You will work closely with the Performance and Planning Team, supporting team members as needed to ensure we meet our team goals and commitments.
* You will have exposure to broad datasets and the ability to inject fresh thinking and approaches to harnessing our data sources to deliver actionable insights and strategies to the business.
The skills we are looking for:
Essential
* Understanding of relational databases with experience and a comfortable knowledge of SQL or similar language.
* Ability to quickly pick up data structures to understand how different systems are linked through the data they contain – specifically the systems that Three Ireland employs.
* Proficiency in data visualization tools and techniques (Excel, Power BI, Cognos, Analytics, PowerPoint).
* Advanced capability in using Microsoft Excel.
* Demonstrated ability of using Microsoft Office 365 products including Power BI, Power Automate and Power Apps or similar tools.
* Excellent attention to detail in providing valuable insight and accurate timely reports.
* Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work efficiently as a team player and contribute to team effectiveness.
* Ability to remain calm under pressure and work in a fast paced, changing environment.
* Ability to coordinate activities across multiple concurrent projects/reporting asks.
Nice to have:
* Qualification in a data or quantitative related field, with proven experience in a reporting, analysis and data role.
* Proven experience within a sales and CVM environment.
* Experience in Retail, Telco, or Utility environment.
* Experience working as part of project delivery teams.
* Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic, and challenging environments.
* Appreciation of the customer, their needs, and how to meet them.
* Excellent decision-making and prioritization capabilities.
* Experience in agile ways of working.
* Understanding of AI implementation across datasets and organizations.
