donnelly fresh. Foods are recruiting for a highly driven National Account Manager with experience in a fresh foods business.
The National Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth with key multiple and convenience customers, building and strengthening these relationships, managing all aspects of customer relations, and implementing strategies designed to increase revenue and develop new business opportunities. You will report to the Commercial Manager and work closely with the New Product Development team to identify and exploit opportunities.
National Account Manager Responsibilities
1. Overall responsibility for sales growth and profitability with your key accounts.
2. Develop and execute effective account plans for each of these accounts.
3. Plan and execute effective negotiation strategies to achieve sales and margin growth.
4. Be the main point of contact for your accounts, building solid relationships with the customer, establishing a breadth and depth of cross-functional contacts.
5. Be pro-active in driving and identifying new business prospects and ensuring all sales and revenue opportunities are explored and captured.
6. Working with Operations, NPD, Technical & Commercial teams to lead and develop our service levels and category plans with your accounts.
7. Working closely with Commercial and Finance teams to prepare proposals in response to RFPs.
8. Maintain all customer data and price files etc. in a professional and organised manner.
9. Maintain and update a robust database of market information on relevant categories and competitors.
10. Spend time on the ground in the market assessing opportunities, competitors range, price, new products, promotions etc.
11. Continual learning about the category, competitors, and the market.
12. Participate fully within the internal management team environment, offering support, knowledge and shared learning.
National Account Manager Requirements
1. 5 + years of relevant experience within a sales or trading environment in FMCG.
2. Proven experience in sales or business development with a track record of account management and achieving results in Ireland.
3. Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
4. Self – motivated and ambitious with excellent attention to detail.
5. Proficient in all Microsoft applications.
6. Sound negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
7. Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills, with an ability to adapt your style to suit the situation.
8. Possess high levels of organisation skills, attention to detail and ability to work within a fluid, fast paced environment.
9. A keen interest in industry developments and market intelligence to enable you to add real value to the sales process.
10. Experience in the Fresh produce or FMCG industry is essential. Experience of both private label and brand business would be an advantage.
