The role will focus on developing VPP and DS3 services for the industrial utilities sector and also include large commercial, public, and buildings sectors. Manage the delivery of Energy Markets and Hubgrade Services to existing and new clients.The role will give the successful candidate exposure and experience across the divisions of energy, waste, and water and interaction with suppliers, clients, institutional bodies, and operations. Some international travel may also be required.Duties of the Role include; Management of the daily operation of two Demand Side Units. Maintain participation in the Demand Side Markets for both our Short Run and Long Run DSUs.Liaise with the Site Monitoring Centre (Veolia UK & Ire) and coordinate troubleshooting activities as required. Insure all compliance issues are dealt with efficiently.Account manage all existing VPP clients with a view to expanding our services where possible.Issue month-end figures for the VPP unit to group accounts.Identification, analysis, design, costing, negotiation, and project management of VPP and DS3 contracts.Performing in-depth investment grade audits, and projecting revenue models.Originating project development plans and drafting contract scopes of work for tendering exercises.Carrying out tender evaluations and contract negotiationsSupport the implementation team with the development of project schedules and budgetsSupport combined heat and power (CHP) operations Support the Energy Bureau service to Veolia clientsReports to the Head of Technical for EnergyResponsibility for 2 or 3 x technical specialists within the VPP teamDevelopment of new projects involving battery storage and/or hybrid solutions in Ireland’s growing market for DS3 services and asset flexibilitySupporting the development of a variety of projects in Veolia’s pipeline, including CHP schemes, district heating, biomass CHP, and energy performance contractingResponsibility for the growth and operation of the Energy Markets and Hubgrade ServicesRequired skills for this role; Degree in Energy Engineering or similar 5 years + in a similar senior roleExperience managing/developing / mentoring team members Experience with tender evaluations and contract negotiationsExperience with CHO ops Proven track record with performing in-depth investment grade audits and projecting revenue models.Please note:If you are an EU/EEA national, you will be asked to show proof of right to work in Ireland.If you are a non-EU/EEA national, you will require current and valid permission to work and reside in the Republic of Ireland.Information on legislation and guides to the procedures in relation to obtaining greencard permits ,work permits, spousal/dependant permits is available on the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation website.
