Medforce are delighted to be working with a highly reputable establishment to recruit a Professionally Qualified Social Worker (PQSW) to specialise in the Safeguarding of Vulnerable Adults. There are three choices of location for this post, Crumlin/Naas/Baltinglass. The PQSW will choose one location for their base and will be expected to travel to other bases from time to time depending on the needs of the service. Our client is dedicated to ensuring the safety, dignity, and well-being of vulnerable adults in the community. The team is committed to providing compassionate and effective safeguarding services that address complex needs, empower individuals, and promote recovery. This role involves working closely with adults at risk, their families, and other professionals to protect individuals from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. A key focus of this position is working with clients who have experienced trauma, including those affected by complex or historical trauma. This is a full time, 35 hour week spread across Monday Friday with excellent benefits including free onsite parking, incremental HSE pay-scale, generous annual leave entitlement and CPD opportunties. Key Responsibilities: Conduct thorough safeguarding assessments and develop tailored intervention plans to protect vulnerable adults. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic support and effective case management. Provide direct support to individuals with trauma histories, employing trauma-informed approaches. Engage with adults at risk, their families, and carers to ensure their voices are central to decision-making. Investigate safeguarding concerns in line with local and national policies and procedures. Maintain accurate and comprehensive records and reports. Deliver training or awareness sessions for colleagues and partners on adult safeguarding and trauma-related issues. Participate in professional supervision, training, and continuous professional development activities. Essential Requirements: A degree in Social Work and current registration with CORU Proven experience in adult safeguarding, including handling complex cases. Expertise in working with individuals affected by trauma, with knowledge of trauma-informed care principles. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in challenging and emotionally sensitive situations. Desirable Skills: Training or certification in trauma-informed practices or related therapeutic approaches. Experience in delivering safeguarding training or workshops.
