Basic Grade - Speech and Language Therapist FTC
Permanent Full-Time Contract (35 hours per week)
We are seeking a Basic Grade Speech and Language Therapist to join our team.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, upskilling in the growing area of Adult Intellectual Disability. The role offers a varied and interesting clinical focus on both Communication and Dysphagia with full supervision.
Responsibilities:
* Possess a recognized qualification in Speech and Language Therapy with full CORU registration pending.
* Hold an undergraduate or post-graduate qualification in adult dysphagia.
* Demonstrate a keen interest in Adult Intellectual Disability including 3 months experience working in the area of intellectual disability.
* Exhibit initiative, flexibility, excellent organisation and communication skills.
* Hold a Full Irish Driver's License with access to own car.
Desirable Qualifications:
* CORU Registration in place.
* IASLT membership
* A minimum of 1 year's satisfactory post qualification experience working as a Speech and Language Therapist.
* Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* At least 6 months experience working in the area of dysphagia with adults.
* Lamh qualification.
* Experience with AAC.
* Experience working with individuals with behaviours that challenge.
