Chipright seeks a highly motivated senior embedded software engineer to be a leading member of a team developing a next generation in-vitro diagnostics point of care reader. The ideal candidate will have developed embedded software and firmware for point of care solutions including its control systems for the electronic, photonic, incubation and motor sub-modules. 1. 5+ years’ experience coding in C / C++, ideally working with development platforms such as Beaglebone, Raspberry Pi and/or other platforms.
2. Familiarity with communication protocols such as USB, I2C, SPI and UART.
3. Familiarity with Linux Operating Systems and source control tools such as git and syn.
4. Ability to debug software, firmware and hardware systems using debug tools and lab instruments.
5. Familiarity with Qt, Matlab and Labview for user interface development and data analysis.
6. Educated to degree level with excellent analytical, communication and documentation skills.
Desirable
7. Exposure to motors and motor controllers
8. Good understanding of biostatistics and statistical analysis tools
9. Familiarity with ISO13485 is an advantage
10. Be a team player with an ability to work in a deadline-driven environment
11. Excellent oral and written communication skills
