Job Description:
Overview: PM Group is a leading International engineering, architecture, project and construction management firm. With a network of offices in Europe, Asia, and the US and a multi-discipline team of over 3,500 people, we deliver complex, capital projects in the life sciences, food and beverages, mission critical/ICT, advanced manufacturing, energy, and environmental sectors. We have a requirement for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our Managed Services team on a pharmaceutical client site in Dublin. The successful candidate will work on various upcoming key projects.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and participate in design, construction, and C&Q activities on site.
2. Lead projects for facility modifications and capital equipment procurement.
3. Assist the Capital Projects Manager in the planning and tracking of activities.
4. Liaise with various stakeholders on the projects to ensure clear communication between all parties.
5. Provide technical process support to the project team throughout the project life cycle.
6. Generate and execute Commissioning & Qualification activities if required.
7. Generate change controls on Electronic QMS and drive their closure in a timely manner.
8. Review turnover documentation from vendors.
9. Setup and review of contracts.
10. Assist in the setup of a capital project programme.
11. Responsibility for direct supervision of vendor engineers and contractors during engineering works on single or multiple capital projects.
12. Use of Permit to work system or other safety systems of work to control engineering activities.
13. Management of capital and cost benefit analysis.
14. Participation in HAZOP and design reviews.
15. Generate and check project engineering deliverables such as technical specifications, procurement submittals, and handover documentation.
Qualifications:
1. Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
2. 10+ years experience as a Project Engineer working in a highly regulated environment such as BioPharma, Pharma, medical device, Food, or Semi-conductor.
3. Experience with various utility systems, such as chillers, HVAC, purified water, etc.
4. Experience directing/supervision of construction projects would be an advantage.
5. Good level of project management skills.
6. Effective communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
