Purchasing & Planning Manager
This is a challenging and varied role in purchasing and planning, crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of internal manufacturing plants and product purchasing, shipping, and planning.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage purchasing reports, ERP actions, and inventory levels while optimizing costs.
* SUPPORT INTERNAL MANUFACTURING BY DEALING WITH UNPREDICTABLE NEEDS AND LAST-MINUTE ORDERS.
* Oversee product purchasing, shipping, and planning across global suppliers.
* Handle raw material costing, including freight, duty, and supplier pricing.
* Build and maintain supplier relationships and become involved in onboarding new suppliers.
* Work with an ERP system to create and update critical purchasing data.
* Collaborate closely with operations, planning, and account managers to meet strict deadlines.
* Attend daily review meetings and remain reactive to shifting demands.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 3+ years of experience in purchasing/planning within industrial manufacturing.
* Strong ERP & Microsoft Excel skills (experience with MS Dynamics NAV/BC a plus).
* A proactive, flexible mindset that thrives in fast-moving environments with short lead times. Strong relationship-building skills working with internal teams, suppliers, and external customers.
* High attention to detail and numerical ability, with a focus on cost efficiency and KPIs.
