Morgan McKinley is seeking a newly qualified accountant to join its finance team in Waterford, Ireland. This role offers an exciting opportunity for career growth and development.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform month-end reconciliations, including bank, debtors, and creditors accounts.
* Process supplier invoices and maintain/reconcile supplier balances.
* Oversee debtor collection and control.
* Maintain general ledgers and post journals.
* Make payments and set up payments on the online banking portal for authorisation.
* Prepare statutory reporting requirements, such as CSO & ONS reports.
* Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, end-of-month, and quarterly reporting.
* Support year-end audit preparation, including audit files and liaising with auditors.
* Prepare and file VAT returns with Revenue Commissioners/HMRC, ensuring tax compliance.
* Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
* Process payroll.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders on various queries.
* Perform ad hoc duties as required.
Requirements
* Hold a qualification in accounting, such as ACCA/ACA/CPA.
* Have experience with Sage 50 accounting software.
* Previous experience working in a small or medium-sized practice.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other relevant software.
* Possess high energy, excellent organisational skills, and attention to detail.
* Be able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills.
