Operations Manager, East Donegal
The Company is a multi-faceted Group with a base in ROI and operations across various parts of NI. They operate across multiple sectors including manufacturing, engineering, roofing and retail.
The Role:
The Operations Manager will be responsible for the operational functions of planning, directing and coordinating as well as maintaining and upgrading plant and machinery at the Donegal Site. In addition, the Operations Manager is responsible for working with Senior management to maintain and enhance Health and Safety, Training and Inventory control.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordination and Supervision - Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of various departments in the organization.
* Best Practices - Improve processes and policies in support of organisational goals. Formulate and implement departmental, and organizational policies and procedures to maximize output.
* Human Resources - Plan the use of human resources. Organise recruitment and placement of required staff. Establish organisational structures. Delegate tasks and accountabilities.
* Production - Coordinate and monitor the work of various departments involved in production, warehousing and distribution of goods.
* Research and Development - Assist in the development of an innovative research and development infrastructure within the business.
* Strategic Input - Liaison with top management. Assist in the development of strategic plans for operational activity.
* Financial - Review financial statements and data. Utilize financial data to improve profitability.
Requirements:
* Educated to third level standard ideally in engineering and/or operational management.
* Industry relevant production experience.
* Knowledge and experience in organisational effectiveness and operations management.
* A positive, can-do attitude with an open mind and willingness to learn.
* An interest in people, working as part of a team and contributing positively to the culture of the organisation.
Additional Information:
Normal working hours are Monday – Thursday 08.00 –17.00 and Friday 08.00 – 14.00. Salary: Depending on experience (€60,000.00 - €70,000.00).
