Job Title: Assistant Project Manager
We are currently recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager to join our Capital & Estates Department in the West Dublin area.
This is an initial 1-year fixed term role with great potential for further extension. The role provides a range of professional, technical, project management, property, energy, sustainability, fire and safety services in respect of the procurement, development, operation and maintenance of physical infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
* Plan and oversee both major and minor capital projects across the designated area.
* Ensure that all buildings, services, and equipment adhere to safety and maintenance standards outlined in approved programs.
* Collaborate with the Property Manager to uphold property protocols, assess the organization's property portfolio, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
* Establish and implement fire prevention measures in coordination with the Fire & Safety Officer.
* Provide guidance on energy efficiency and collaborate with service personnel and advisors to optimize energy use in organizational facilities.
* Offer expertise on facilities and environmental concerns, working closely with service personnel, Capital & Estates personnel, and advisors.
Requirements:
* Hold a Level 8 (or higher) Quality & Qualifications Ireland major academic award in Architecture, Engineering or Surveying accredited by the relevant Professional Institute OR Have Membership of the relevant professional association:
o Society of Chartered Surveyors in Ireland
o Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
o Engineers Ireland
o Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland
* AND have at least five years' experience in planning, design, project management or construction of buildings or in the installation or maintenance of the mechanical, electrical, and heating services of such buildings.
Knowledge & Experience:
* A high level of expertise and experience regarding the construction of buildings and building services and an understanding of the maintenance requirements.
* Strong knowledge and awareness of Health & Safety legislation and a working knowledge of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) Standards
* Leadership and teamwork skills with the ability to work with multi-disciplinary team members
* Effective communication skills, including the ability to facilitate and train other team members
