Lifestyles has an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and driven leader to join our team as Deputy Manager in our service.
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team creating a therapeutic and safe environment where young people can feel secure, cared for, and valued.
Working closely with the Registered Manager, you will support a maximum of 3 young people aged between 6-12 years.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Help guide your team to deliver the highest standards of care, working in line with minimum standards and children's home regulations.
2. Work collaboratively with children's services, health agencies, and community-based services to ensure young people receive effective support and achieve their full potential.
3. Tackle complex cases and situations, working with a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-quality, safe, and well-managed care and support services.
4. Apply safeguarding and child protection procedures, ensuring full compliance with organisational policies and procedures.
5. Provide comprehensive staff supervision on a monthly basis.
6. Ensure staffing and service level reports are accurate and meet company targets.
7. Oversee and manage budgets and staff rotas.
8. Facilitate team meetings and meetings with outside agencies.
9. Support the Registered Manager with new referrals, ensuring compatibility assessments are complete.
10. Perform other duties to ensure a highly functioning service supporting positive outcomes for young people.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience working with behaviours of concern such as verbal and physical aggression/absconding.
* A minimum of 2 years' experience leading teams and managing services in the care sector.
* Degree-level qualification in Social Work is required.
* Full clean UK driving licence for 12 months.
* Northern Ireland Social Care Council Registration and Enhanced Access NI.
