Director of Food & Beverage
A luxurious resort in County Kerry is seeking an exceptional leader to oversee its fine dining, wine, and beverage service. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in managing food and beverage operations at a 5-Star level.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all objectives are met in food & beverage operations, including business development, financial performance, and quality standards.
* Lead all facets of food & beverage operations, including restaurants, bars, private dining rooms, lounges, room service, private events, and weddings.
* Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the team.
* Work closely with HR to attract, hire, and retain top talent.
* Collaborate with senior leadership on overall strategy and standards.
* Develop close relationships with suppliers for a local food & beverage offering.
* Inspire the food & beverage team to deliver outstanding service and standards.
Qualifying Criteria:
* Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
* Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Director or Assistant Director of Food & Beverage / Food & Beverage Manager in a luxury 5-Star environment.
* Extensive knowledge of food, beverage, and wine service at a 5-star level.
* Experience in managing food & beverage for weddings and events.
* Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
* Experience in operational controls, budgeting, payroll, inventory control, and profit and loss management.
* Proven track record of achieving financial objectives and improving standards and procedures.
* Proven ability to problem-solve and handle high-end leisure market guests.
* Right to work in the EU.
Desired Skills & Experience:
* Understanding of 5 AA Red Star standards and related industry regulations.
* Experience with high-end 5-star estate, resort hotels, golf, and leisure markets.
