Orwell Healthcare is looking to hire an HR Generalist for a 3-month contract at our healthcare facility in Rathgar, Dublin 6.

We have Long Term Care, Short Term Care, Convalescence and Acquired Brain Injury Units.
The company is expanding and have another nursing home under development due to open in spring 2025.
This is a full-time temporary position, based entirely in the office from Monday to Friday, with a salary range of €40K to €43K.
Main Purpose of the role: To support the management team in the develop and implementation of the HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business strategy.
Be familiar with the HR and Time and attendance software packages in use in the organisation- Recruit staff which will include creating job descriptions and person specifications, checking applications, shortlisting and interviewing & selecting candidates.
Recruitment of overseas candidates directly and liaising with approved Recruitment agencies.
Support that the HR team are verifying references, medical declaration, Garda Vetting and issuing contracts by having an audit procedure in place.
Oversee the process of Work Permit applications, visas, adaptation placement etc.
Support the HR Manager with employee relations issues: performance, grievance, disciplinary & Trust in Care meetings.
Implement policies on issues such as performance management, working conditions and equal opportunities.
Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
Provide data for the monthly update on performance management reviews Oversee absence management and provide monthly reports for- the management meeting.
Review relevant HR Policies and Employee Handbooks in line with best practice.
Provide a report for the management monthly meeting.
Monitor staff turnover metrics and reasons for leaving and advise Management on initiatives to promoter staff retention.
Co-ordinate the roll out of an annual Staff Satisfaction Survey.
Co-ordinate with PR regarding the scheduling and running of Recruitment open days and other job fairs.
