St. Christopher's Service provides a person centred, comprehensive, efficient, and innovative service to people with intellectual disabilities. It is a high quality, community-based service, based on identified individualised needs, enabling service users to reach their fullest potential. Bus Driver
20 hours Per week (mornings and evenings)
or
2 post of 10 hour's Per Week (Mornings or Evenings)
Permanent Post
Hours of work -Monday to Friday 7.45 am to 9.45 am and 3.45pm to 17.45 pm flexibility may be required. May consider candidates who are only available to do 10 in morning or 10 hours in afternoon.
The purpose of this position is to assist and transport Service Users to and from the St Christophers Services, and other areas as may be designated from time to time. To transport the Service users in attendance at the various Centres and School. To adhere with St Christophers policies, procedures, and guidelines. The post holder will Drive Centre Vehicles as instructed by the Transport Manager/Services Officer/Operations Manager.
Essential
Qualifications
* Valid Bus Driving Licence i.e Full D Licence
* Up to date CPC Card
Experience
* Current Driver Certificate of Professional Competence
* Minimum 2 years' experience of bus driving.
Desirable
* Disability awareness and experience of transporting passengers with limited mobility or who use wheelchairs is desirable
