Responsibilities:
1. Greeting customers entering the shop & assisting shoppers to find the goods they are seeking
2. Inform customers on technical benefits of our product selection and have the confidence to discuss these
3. Merchandising in retail unit & locating stock in warehouse
4. Ensuring retail unit is fully stocked and tidy throughout the day
5. Deliver first-class customer service at all times & increase business by maximizing sales to each customer.
6. Reporting discrepancies & issues to Business Manager
7. Balancing cash registers with receipts & dealing with customer refunds
Skills & Requirements:
1. Technical background /experience of working in Trades/Agriculture/Building/Safety/DIY or similar role is desirable
2. Polite, patient & helpful, excellent interpersonal skills - with a friendly & engaging personality
3. Ability to work as part of a team- with good communication, organisational and administration skills
4. Flexible, reliable and pro-active attitude with ability to bring new ideas/initiatives.
