Purpose:
The purpose of the Associate Director, Patient Engagement Capabilities, CDDA, CoDesign role is to support the design of clinical programs and trials by leading the strategy for patient and researcher engagement delivering insights to inform asset profile, program strategy, and drive excellence in clinical trial designs, enabling more efficient planning and execution to speed medicines for patients.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Develop and deliver the strategy for clinical programs where the voice of the patient and researchers are represented.
* Partner with appropriate Clinical Design Delivery & Analytics (CDDA) functions to determine the best strategic direction for each clinical program.
* Lead the CoDesign approach to deliver insights, including facilitation of CoDesign sessions, creation of appropriate deliverables, and diligent follow up to ensure insights are robustly considered and incorporated (where appropriate) into design.
* Enable continuous improvement by understanding the external needs and challenges of patients and researchers in addition to the internal needs and challenges of our clinical programs.
* Responsible for evaluating and understanding evolving business partner needs that could be addressed by process improvements, standardization, or automation.
* Contribute and support sharing of metrics for CoDesign activities.
Strategic and Technical Leadership:
* Responsible for ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to for all CoDesign related activities.
* Lead the development and adoption of novel CoDesign approaches across the CDDA and beyond.
* Contribute to a team culture that is valued for strategic and technical leadership and promotes partnership and shared learning across the broader CDDA.
* Act as a coach within the organization fostering inclusion and innovation, continual improvement, and an external understanding and awareness.
* Bachelor’s Degree in a scientific or health-related field.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, drug development, and/or related fields.

* Proven ability to lead, influence, and deliver to timelines.
* Strong interpersonal and excellent communication, organization, and negotiation skills.
