Financial Controller Full-Time Position
We are seeking a Financial Controller to lead financial management and internal controls across the Irish hub for an independent group with multiple sites providing engineering services in the West of Ireland.
Your Role
You will report to the CEOs of the Irish companies and establish strong financial controlling processes, providing critical financial support to management across all sites.
Key Responsibilities
* Controlling and Accounting: Oversee cost accounting, management accounting, and group reporting while shaping the financial strategy of the Irish hub.
* Strategic and Operational Controlling: Enhance and streamline controlling processes to support operational and strategic objectives.
* Financial Planning and Budgeting: Lead financial planning, budgeting, and liquidity management to maintain a solid financial foundation.
* Cost Accounting Optimization: Implement innovative approaches to cost centre, cost unit, and activity-based costing for greater efficiency and transparency.
* Management Collaboration: Work closely with the CEOs and the Group Finance team, providing insights and guidance for strategic decision-making.
* Analyses and Recommendations: Conduct business analyses and offer actionable recommendations to support the company's growth.
* Team Leadership: Build and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
* Payroll and Revenue Management: Ensure robust payroll processes and efficient handling of Revenue queries.
* Reporting: Manage monthly reporting requirements for the Group.
* Audit Management: Lead financial audits, including year-end processes.
Requirements
Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, or CIMA) with a minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience. Strong technical accounting skills with group reporting experience. Proven track record in a similar role, preferably within a production or manufacturing environment. Expertise in cost accounting with the ability to optimize financial processes. Proactive and hands-on approach to challenges. Leadership ability to inspire and develop teams. Advanced IT skills, including Excel and accounting software. Strong business acumen and excellent interpersonal skills. Effective communicator with senior management and the broader team. Fluency in English (French proficiency is desirable).
