Job Title: Accounts Assistant
We are seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our finance team at {company}.
This role reports directly to the Accounts Supervisor and will be an onsite position working with the finance team to complete and oversee the accurate and timely recording of accounts payable/receivable, general accounts, and financial accounts.
Main Responsibilities:
* Monthly bank reconciliations of client accounts and accurate posting to the finance system of all related transactions.
* Supplier reconciliations, including reconciliation of central billing accounts.
* Cash handling duties as required, including bank lodgment reconciliations.
* Assistance with the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger on an ad-hoc basis when needed.
* Deal with finance queries appropriately.
* Ad hoc finance projects, including system reviews, process improvements, and efficiency measures.
* Other relevant duties that can be reasonably expected to enhance financial skills and experience.
Position Requirements:
* A business or finance graduate, accounting technician, or part-qualified accountant with 2-3 years' experience in a similar finance role.
* Proficiency with MS Excel and accounting software.
* A willingness to learn and gain experience working in a busy finance department.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
* The ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
