Join to apply for the Tax Manager role at NorthStandardBase pay rangeWe are looking to recruit a Tax Manager, working in our Ireland office.As the Tax Manager, your main responsibilities will include overseeing tax compliance in Ireland, where the group’s EU insurer is based. You will also manage tax matters for an Irish marine insurer, an Irish branch of a UK-based management company and two entities that are closing down. Additionally, you will assist with global ad-hoc tax queries in collaboration with the Finance Systems & Tax Manager.What will you be doing?Key responsibilities will include:Oversee Irish Tax Compliance (Corporation Tax, VAT, IPT, Stamp Duty)Review IPT calculations for all relevant countries for the Irish insurerManage the annual Country by Country tax reporting for the groupAssist with the implementation of digital end-to-end VAT reportingPlay a crucial role in advancing the tax capabilities of the group’s systems, specifically by integrating withholding tax functionality and improving the current IPT functionality within the company’s policy management systemAbout youSkills/Qualifications/ExperienceTax qualification (CTA or equivalent) or Chartered Accountant with at least two years of post-qualified experiencePrivate practice trained (tax compliance or VAT team)Detailed knowledge of tax legislationAnalytical with good communication skillsExcellent attention to detailSelf-motivatedPositive attitude to changeInsurance experienceAdaptable to changing environmentsWho we areWe are a specialist marine insurer and a member of the International Group of Protection and Indemnity clubs, owned by its shipowner members and controlled by a board of directors drawn from its membership.
